The violin may have been left out in a field for all we know. Any theory regarding this is at best an educated guess; research has produced no unified result.

Really, I don't c how Eistein, being the busy physicist he was in later years, would have the time to maintain, much less play, the violin. It probably just took up space in the lab, and may well now be riddled with worm holes. It might have even been Berned. We will probably never know for sure, and to present further hypotheses would just be Bohring.

In other news, "Einstein's Violin" is also a twelve-minute musical composition by Robert Henderson.

well, according to Ken Pollard, this was gone over at maestronet a few weeks before my original post.

Thank you so much for your interest in the Historical Society of Princeton.
We actually have Albert Einstein's music stand not his violin. The music
stand is currently on display in our Princeton History gallery here at the
museum. We are open every day but Monday from 12-4pm if you wanted to see
it. I attached a photo of it. By the terms of Einstein's will his books,
music, and other personal papers were deposited at Hebrew University in
Jerusalem. He bequeathed his violin to his grandson, Bernhard Caesar
Einstein.

If you have any more questions please let me know.

Thanks for contacting the museum. That is good to know.
According to Wikipedia, Bernhard Caesar Einstein died in September 2008. Now the question is, Who acquired Einsteins violin in his grandsons will?
