Beautiful work Mike... # 2 and you are already a pro! I like to focus on restoration and I have a restoration job that requires a new top... That will be my new years Challenge. Hope mine will be half as nice as yours!

ps.. I note that you are using a pad under the e string at the bridge... I find that a touch of super glue, touch of file and some graphite works really well to keep the string from sinking into the bridge and gives good contact string to bridge. |

Thanks so much for the positive comments!
I should have mentioned that this fiddle was patterned after the Strad poster of the Stradivarius Kruse violin that came out a couple of years ago, not a copy but I used it for the corpus with some flattening of the arching.
Violin making does seem a bit addictive and I've been feeling without a cause since I completed it but am enjoying playing it tremendously! I'm thinking that #3 will be from the same mold only using traditional European tonewoods this time. #2 has a sitka spruce front and bigleaf quilted back, sound is good but what do I know.
