Here are some bad photos of my first violin, made with no proper woods, (larch for front), no tools, only some sculpture ciesels, and never seen a luthier maestro working. At least i did not used any electric tools. I waith your comments, and thanx.

photos are not bad, lol

u spent hundreds of hours on making a violin, i'd strongly suggest u to get some proper violin tone wood, not necessarily 5A, some 3A tone woods are not expensive

well done anyway, it s your 1st violin
i'd love to hear how it sing

some months later, i'd show my 1st one too, hope mine would not scare you all

I don't see a saddle, so it appears the tailpiece may be touching the top of the violin. Am I not seeing something? I'd recommend installing a saddle so the tailpiece won't buzz on the violin's top.

Interesting wood for a top. Would have been good practice to put in your purfling on this first attempt, get the most out of the exercise.

Ther eis a saddle . The nut and saddle are from rose wood, if you look more insistent, you will see the saddle.

Yes I see the saddle now. Truly a fascinating piece of work. With my first violin, I just couldn't wait to get it all together and see what it would sound like. It wasn't at all what I expected, although it was acceptable. The proof of the pudding, is in the eating.
