Hi,

My name is Ed, I'm a guitarmaker from Vancouver, BC.

I'm looking to experiment with shellac as a final finish. I would like to spray it, power sand it, and power buff it just as if it were a lacquer or poly topcoat.

I'm wondering if anyone here has any knowledge about making a blend using additives such as gum mastic and sandarac that could make a concoction for this purpose....

Thanks

Ed

I think you'll find much more help with this sort of thing at the MIMF.
