I have genuine Nicolas Lupot violin from 1810 , rare piece modeled after
Guarnerius (only 2 instruments made by Lupot), certified by Jean Jaques Rampal of Paris. My late father used to play this amazing instrument.
I am not a player and I have decided to put this violin on the market.
I believe this great violin should be played and not to be locked in the
bank's vault. Please, could somebody advise me as how to proceed? |

Could you post an advertising when you will put it on market? I'm pretty interested but I only want to know it by ebay...
Thank you!

depends if you want fast cash or a higher price.
Fast cash I would take it to a known auction house with the certificate, Bonnhams, Skinner, Christies, southebys Butterfield...etc. Higher price I would take it to a major dealer in a large city like LA, NYC Chicago etc and leave it for consignment. Most likely take it to an auction house and get an fair market estimate before taking it to a dealer.
How much do you want for the fiddle, Do you have pictures of the instrument and the certificate?
