Hello all,
I'm Ron Teplitz, retired tech writer and active amateur cellist. I started making my first violin 21 years ago. Ran out of time to focus on it back then, so all the pieces went into a box in the garage. Since retirement in May, have gotten all the pieces out and have resumed work in earnest. Am still refining my jigs and templates, and buying tools nonstop. Am about half-way through the first instrument. Making plenty of mistakes; hope to at least make fewer mistakes (and different ones) on the next fiddle. Then perhaps I'll make myself a cello.
