The title above is a pdf and if anyone can tell me what it means I will be grateful. It seems to tell us what parts of a violin cause Radiation .But it feels very opaque. Opaque is a word used for sight and vision and there are two acronyms used --O/P and I/P. I have not seen an explanation of these in the article that makes any sense .

One site explaining Optical topics has a cartoon explanation about In Plane and Out of Plane vibrations. This is delving down into atomic and molecular scales.
There may be some confusion when examples talkm about planes as Aircraft. The word Plane should mainly be taken as the Mathematical physical meaning but aircraft also exhibit similarities in this topic .
Stay with me here.It gets a bit complicated .
There are 6 Vibration Modes.
Asymetric, Symetric ,
Wagging ,Twisting.--Both these are Out of Plane
Scissoring,Rocking,--These two are In Plane.
Those are all for Polyatomic Molecules . Light , Sound and Vbrations generally seem to follow similar rules in nature .
