As a poor and unemployed/retired violin player/repairer, I still have one old full size Strad German factory fiddle in my bin that has a bad back (many cracks and wood missing) but the rest of the instrument is just fine. It is not a great instrument, but should make an okay player for myself. Rather then go to the expense of gathering wood and replacing tools to carve a new back, I am looking for a used back plate I can adopt. Prefer something without purfling or with fake purfling, and at a poor persons price. Figured wood would be nice but not necessary. If you've got anything, please PM me. Thanks!
