Thought you'd enjoy looking at some home-made accessories. Not having the ability to turn pegs, I decided to take some ebony pegs and sand the thumb pieces down on my drum sander. Then I took some small pieces of maple burl wood and glued them to the sides and file them down.
These were to go with the rest of the accessories also made from maple burl.
Unfortunately, I used a golden brown stain on the burlwood, and it doesn't go well with this particular violin. But there's an idea for you. _________________ Dave in the Blue Ridge
