Hi folks, I made a 1/4 size bass out of a 55 gal. drum. I also made an autoharp after I tried to put a new top and back on a warped up old one. The bass sounds fairly good, the autoharp is very good. I'd like to make a carved bass but in need of the plans for one. I have a messed up spine, so can't do what I used to do but try to do all I can. My uncle made fiddles while I was growing up, and think instrument making is something I"m pre-determined to do. If any of you might be able to donate a book and a plan I'd put all I have into making the best of it.

cool instrument! i think i saw something just like it on ebay a little while ago. what is the string length on that bass?
