Greetings. I'm a Manufacturing Engineer that had my career that had my career ended early by flesh eating bacteria. In looking for my next challenge, I decided to learn to play and build Violins. So far the community has been really open to a new guy and I appreciate it.

Engineers reverse engineer stuff all the time, so I went on a search for a cheap unloved violin to dissect. I bought a stringless dirty no bridge violin living in a smelly case for lunch money to rip up and when I got it home and started looking at it closer, I found a label saying Stephen Perry, Lowell Ma 1903.

Darn it, now I have to find a real junk violin to sacrifice to the Gods of Curiosity.

Every now and then God smiles on you. I lived thru FEB, and now I find a gorgeous Violin far beyond my hopes or abilities. This is going to be fun.
