How do we feel about Russia now ? Not in a political sense but as a source of music and performers ? Will they have more to express ? More loss and sadness . How deep will it go ? Will all of it be wasted ?

I am rooting for Putin to win and take U over. U is nothing but a corrupt
playground for the deep state and their bio labs that gave us the virus-- and if left alone- would bring the world another one 100 times worse. And child trafficing. I am not a Putin lover- but---- he takes care of his country---- and rejects the deep state takeovers. Remember --- George Soros was living there but Putin threw him out- now he lives in china.

My apologies if I hijacked your thread......

I feel just fine about Russia. the whole war is being driven by us and our deep state . just very sad that all of that had to happen.

The current state of Russia still does not wipe out the rich cultural legacy from such a huge country .Sadly it was almost impossible for many violin forums to admit that Ukraine was not Russia .Heifetz is probably described as Russian on Wikipedia but he was born in Lithuania .Oistrakh came from Odessa in Ukraine .You have to look back a long way to get past the hegemony of Russia . There were many fine painters from Russia but the Gulag system wiped out so many of it`s own people it`s hard not to feel sympathy for the general public there .
Maybe Russia could learn to invade with entertainers and Ice Cream Vans instead of Tanks . Such a huge country and in winter land locked by ice. But give them more "freedom to move" and they will make a typical mess of it . Such a clumsy inefficient nation just drags us all backwards .
