Just out of annoyance at the word Paradigm I wanted to see if it had any practical use or meaning. So a further question following that would be ; Would knowing the Current Paradigm here prevent me stepping on toes in such exalted company ? |

I have often seen this word paradigm and when I looked it up I had no idea how to use it . What set me off was trying to escape the Bing search engine. I tried the Google Scholar engine . There was an article by a university student (treading on toes ) who had the same problem . It`s full of pdfs and Bing always tries to divert me away and pretend it does not exist .
That has several violin articles .It`s a good antidote to dumbing down . There was a nice story (maybe true ) about an Italian who met Stradivari`s Grand daughter who was a Nun. She set him off on a search for old Strad instruments that were left in lofts and neglected . Then sold lots to Vuillaume . He did very well with Joseph Hassid`s violin (borrowed from Kreisler ).
But before all that I was trying to find out more about the Alessandro Gagliano "Rotundo" violin . I bought the poster but there were no arching diagrams and no thickness maps . A logical approach to thickness maps is ; Why bother about bridge thicknesses if the top plate is nothing much to worry about . Why suddenly lose interest as soon as we arrive at the belly ? There was a Google Scholar article about thickness maps fortunately . |

I changed this post as it was not helpful to you . Try Violinist .com. Just ask questions about being a starter . They will help . You have a Russian sounding name so that will get them interested . |
