Things are very quiet here again, so here is a trivia question to ponder:
Who is Gregory Spatz, and why do we care?
No prizes for the answer I'm afraid.

Ed,
No prizes? Dang. I'm afraid that I do know who he is.
Teaches creative writing at Eastern Washington University, and plays violin in a small folk-music band called The Mighty Squirrel. Happens to be a friend of bowmaker Morgan Andersen, and owns a couple of his bows. Author of a somewhat eccentric short story about a bowmaker, who might slightly resemble Mr. Andersen. Or perhaps he greatly resembles Mr. Andersen, I don't know.
More than you wanted to know, I'm sure.

Well done! That was quick!
What I was thinking was this - that he is the first author of any piece of fiction about a bowmaker. There are a lot of novels and films about musicians and even about violin makers, but I think that this is the first ever about a bowmaker. A minor milestone in literary history I suppose.
Is it worth buying his book? I've not seen it but its only $13.

Seems like I read it in the original periodical somewhere. Can't say it changed my life, but a fun read. And unique.

$13 is quite cheap for a bow related book. Do it!
cheers,
Cosmin
