A brief reminder for all you beginners and those seeking to hone your skills:
There are still a few openings for the summer violin making workshop with Michael Darnton. For information visit www.scvmw.com
In addition, George Rubino will be teaching frog making in the french tradition at the workshop this year and every other year. Lynn Hannings will continue bow making next year and every other year.

There has been some talk about holding one on the east coast somewhere. However, there's not much reason to--Claremont is easy and relatively cheap to fly to, and we get people from all over the world, now.

You all should think about doing a stint in Roswell NM...
Ok, so there's only one violin maker here in town, still, I'm guessing you'd all fit right in around here.

Boise would be more central. 
Claremont is beautiful. In addition to the great workshop, the area is a true pleasure to wander about. It's really like traveling to a different country for many of us. |

You want to go to another country? How about Nashville, Tn? Plus it is centrally located on I-40, I-65, I-24, and easily accessible. Plus, there are a couple of violin/fiddle people here...
