I am now convinced that I should permanently glue the fingerboard. I wouldnt feel comfortable about gluing and reglueing the same wood joint multiple times. Thanks

Thanks for your replies. If I decide to glue the fingerboard permanently how do I varnish underneath the fingerboard once the violin is finished?

Hi, I am working on my first violin and I was wondering what the rib height on a 4/4 violin should be? I heard 30-31.5 mm? Also is the rib height the same at the upper and lower bouts?
