The grinding stone is water cooled, so heat is not a problem, i also have glass plates with wet sandpape ... |

When splitting on a bandsaw, do you just take a slab of the flat side of the wedge, or do you need to split it perfectly down the middle to make 2 identical wedges?

The first one is less glossy than the second one, it has been sanded very lightly with 1000grit sandpaper, in normal light it looks more like a satin finnish than a gloss. I am not ... |

I am not an experienced violin maker or restorer, but my understanding is that crack fillers are not used by professionals.
If there is no material missing, the crack is simply glued with hide glue ... |

The bridge is exactly 30mm in the middle. I corrected the lean on the bridge, guess i was not paying enough attention when i tuned it the last couple of times.

The end of the fingerboard is 16 mm above the front, string clearance is 3.5 mm E and 5,5 mm G, but thats because the bridge is cut quite low.
I guess i will have to try a neck reset in the weekend ... |
