Thanks for the replies. It is bleached shellac, and that is exactly what appears to have happened. Strange though, hasn't happened to me before with this stuff. Learn something new every day. |

For me, the cleats are there just to hold things together in case of further damage to the area after the instrument is returned. Just wondering. Gonna keep it with the spruce. |
